Recruitment and Selection - How to recruit the best candidate!
This practical session provides employers with the essential tools for effective recruitment and selection, explains the legal context of recruitment and selection and how to select appropriate methods so that you can select the best possible candidate for the job.
What will you learn from the programme?
You will be equipped to effectively and compliantly manage the recruitment and selection process and be knowledgeable on the systems required to do this. You will also be able to identify the risks in managing the recruitment process so that your business is protected from costly tribunal claims.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Recognise the importance of adopting a structured recruitment process and the use of relevant selection methods
- Have the knowledge on how to screen candidates’ CVs or application forms using an agreed selection criteria for a job role
- Be able to prepare for a first stage selection interview to ensure they create the right first impressions and candidate engagement
- Be able to design effective questions in order to accurately assess the candidate’s suitability for the role.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact throughout the workshop.
